When negotiating and litigating, she is accomplished at humanizing her clients in the seemingly complex and heartless legal system. She is a strong and poised advocate; this sets her apart from her peers.
Her training as a prosecutor in her early years enables her to instantly know criminal law from both sides making her extremely effective at knowing how to challenge the prosecution’s case. She has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta. She has represented clients in British Columbia; Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and The Maritimes. Lisa has also had the rare opportunity to appear with Balfour Der K.C. at the Supreme Court of Canada.

Her clients come from diverse backgrounds: clients with addictions to alcohol, drugs, and gambling; clients with serious mental disorders such as bi-polar and schizophrenia; clients with intellectual, physical, social and emotional disabilities. Her cases have resulted in working with forensic experts in the areas of: pathology, child abuse, sexual assault, psychiatry, psychology, blood spatter, computers, accounting, and arson.
Lisa has a thirst for continuing education and attends seminars locally and internationally in the areas of Criminal Law, Conflict Resolution, Personal Development and Executive Coaching. These courses help shape Lisa into the unique lawyer she is.

Lisa has volunteered her time with the Alberta Bar Admission Course, Alberta Law Day, Calgary Legal Guidance, and Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law.
